2.1 Account and profile data
When you apply to join Utopia Club or create an Utopia account, we collect:
- Name, email address, company name, and company URL
- LinkedIn profile URL (if provided during application)
- Stage (Seed, Series A, bootstrapped), market focus, and traction
- Profile photo (if uploaded)
- What you are looking for as a member2.2 Usage and interaction data
We collect data generated through your use of the app, including:
- Pod session participation, feedback, and decision checkpoints
- Give & Take commitments and delivery records
- AI assistant (Juno) conversation history
- Founder directory interactions and introductions made
- Signal feed posts and responses2.3 Technical data
We collect standard technical data including:
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- IP address and approximate location
- Session timestamps and feature usage logs2.4 Data you do not provide directly
If you sign in via LinkedIn, we receive only your name, email address, and profile photo via OpenID Connect. We do not access your LinkedIn network, posts, or connections.3. How we use your data
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To verify your application and manage your membership
- To match you to stage-appropriate pods and advisors
- To operate the AI assistant (Juno) and personalise recommendations
- To document and anonymise pod decisions for the shared execution database
- To send transactional communications (session confirmations, decision checkpoints, match notifications)
- To improve the platform and measure feature effectiveness
- To comply with our legal obligations4. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
We process your data on the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing necessary to deliver the services you have signed up for
- Legitimate interests: improving the platform, preventing misuse, and operating the network
- Consent: where you have opted in to specific features or communications
- Legal obligation: where we are required to process data to comply with applicable law5. AI assistant - Juno
The Juno AI assistant is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Conversations with Juno are used to provide personalised responses and may draw on the anonymised execution database compiled from documented pod decisions.
Juno conversation data is processed by Anthropic subject to their privacy policy. We do not sell or share individual conversation data with third parties. Pod decisions shared in sessions are anonymised before being added to the shared database.

Microphone / speech recognition
The app may request microphone access for voice-to-text input in the AI chat. Speech is transcribed on-device; only the resulting text is sent as a message. No audio is recorded or stored by Utopia Club.
Photo library
The app requests photo library access only when you choose to upload or change your profile photo. Photos are stored securely and not shared with third parties.7. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: Supabase (data storage and authentication), Anthropic (AI processing), Google (Meet links for pod sessions) - each subject to their own data processing agreements
- Other members: your profile information (name, company, stage, focus) is visible to vetted members within the Utopia Club network
- Anonymised data: pod decisions are shared across the network in anonymised form only
- Legal requirements: where we are required to disclose data by law, court order, or regulatory authority8. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your membership is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
Anonymised pod decision data may be retained indefinitely as part of the shared execution database, as it cannot be linked back to individual members.9. Data security
All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. All network communication uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher). Sensitive credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. We do not store personal data in plain text on device.
The app does not include any advertising frameworks, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics SDKs.10. International data transfers
FUA Collective Ltd is incorporated in England and Wales. Your data may be processed by our service providers in the United States (Anthropic, Supabase) and other countries. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law.11. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Right of access - to request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to rectification - to request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure - to request deletion of your data
- Right to restriction - to request that we limit processing of your data
- Right to data portability - to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

The Utopia mobile app does not use cookies. The utopia-club.com website may use functional cookies necessary for the operation of the site. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.13. Children
Utopia Club and the Utopia app are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.14. Changes to this policy
